The Hendricks County
Engineering Office provides the following services:
Assist and advise Board of Commissioners
with regard to road, bridge, drainage and building and maintenance
projects. Acts as County liaison to property owners and general
public. Provide assistance with regard to property research, road
and bridge records and/or possible hazards. Assist the public in
property ownership research and documentation, provide updated records
contained on the County's GIS system or Think Map. Issue and
inspect permits for work being conducted in County right-of-way.
The Primary Functions
of the Hendricks County Engineering Department:
The
Engineering Department is responsible for the design, right-of-way
acquisition and construction management of bridge repair/replacement;
intersection improvements; road construction; right-of-way permit
application, approval and inspection; traffic and road hazard
evaluations; general maintenance of County-owned buildings; design and
project management of all County building renovation of County-owned
buildings; GIS development, coordination, and implementation; updating
property ownership and subdivisions; survey, design, and construction
management of drainage improvements related to highway right-of-way;
oversee drainage improvements for subdivisions with forfeited bonds;
various program implementation and account management of bonded funds,
special project funds, and other various accounts under control of the
Board of Commissioners.
