(Q) Is the Highway Department responsible for repairing chuck holes?
(A) If the hole is inside the county, but outside state and town jurisdiction.
(Q) Do you plow the snow on my road?
(A) Again, if the hole is inside the county, but outside state and town jurisdiction.
(Q) Will you repair or replace my mailbox?
(A) If it has been damaged by our department you must let us know and complete proper paperwork for review.
(Q) When will you mow the right of way?
(A) We mow several times throughout the summer months.
(Q) Am I within the county, state or town jurisdiction?
(A) You are in the state jurisdiction if you are on a state road. If the road you live on is within the town's jurisdiction or if the property across the road from you is inside the town's jurisdiction then the road would be maintained by the town, even though you may be inside the county. Any other roads within Hendricks County would be maintained by the county.
