The Hendricks
County Nursing Department provides the following services:
Public
health services protect and improve community health by preventative
medicine, health education, control of communicable diseases and
application of sanitary measures.
Public Health Preparedness
The Hendricks County Health Department is engaged in planning and
coordinating with multiple agencies and surrounding counties to protect
public health in the event of an emergency or disaster. For more

Healthy Families Hendricks County
Healthy Families Hendricks County
is a
support program for pregnant women and for families with new babies
living in Hendricks County. Healthy Families believes that all parents
want only the very best for their child. We can help parents track the
growth and development of their infant until their child’s fifth
birthday. Our Family Support Specialists and Family Resource Specialists
work with parents to find information and referrals to other services
that may benefit the family and child. Healthy Families can provide
parents with up-to-date answers to their many questions and concerns
regarding their child’s health and development. Our home visiting
services are offered to families in the comfort of their own home, on a
voluntary basis, and with no cost to the family. If you or someone you
know is pregnant or has delivered a baby within the last 90 days please
contact our office for more information.

Immunization Clinic
Immunization Clinic
is
available to infants, children and adults. There is a nominal charge for
each vaccine, with the clinic available to anyone by appointment. Flue
vaccines are available in the Fall of each year.
Well Child Clinic
Well Child Clinic
provides
health checkups and developmental screening for children 2 months to 5
years of age. Hemoglobin and lead poison testing are also offered. This
clinic is for County residents who meet income eligibility.
Adult Wellness Clinic
Adult Wellness Clinic provides blood pressure screening,
immunizations, tuberculin testing. This clinic is open to anyone
by appointment.
