Philip Clay

Philip Clay is a first-time candidate and Plainfield native running for the Indiana Senate District 35 seat. If elected, he will be the first state legislator from Plainfield. Philip is raising a family in his hometown. He’s a small business owner, active in the community and is running to bring new leadership, energy, and new ideas to the job of representing the area.

 Philip serves at the President of the Plainfield Redevelopment Commission and is passionate about seeing our community, its enterprises and people prosper. He co-founded Arthur Clay & Company – an organization dedicated to filling the gap between education and the workforce, focusing on assisting minority men in their personal and professional lives through professional development, mentoring and networking. He’s also a conservative Republican, graduate of the Indiana Republican Party’s Diversity Series, a member of the 2022 platform committee, and has been named a RNC Rising Star award winner. As Philip Clay says, “no one will outwork me” and he means to deliver new, conservative leadership with a get-things-done attitude
