Karen Whitney Karen Whitney, candidate for Indiana House District 28, is a retired college president who has dedicated her life to public education. She has spent over 40 years as a student centered, administrator, teacher, researcher, and leader. As a leader, in higher education, Karen knows well the helpful and harmful impact state policy can have on our lives. Karen believes now is the time for fresh perspectives to solve old problems that continue to hold back our great state. Specifically she wants to listen well, learn quickly, and lead informed by what the voters of District 28 most want from their state government. At this point in the campaign, Karen is talking with voters about four key areas: smart government; great jobs; quality healthcare; and educational excellence.
