Connecting to the Sewer System

Hendricks County staff is here to help you get your home, business, or developement connected to the sewer system. Follow the steps below to get started. **THIS PAGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION**

1. Check if your property is in the Hendricks County Regional Sewer District's service area

   • See our Sewer Territory Maps

2. Get approval of on-site septic systems

   • All septic systems must be approved by the Hendricks County Health Department.
   • New on-site septic systems are not allowed in urban areas where sewer service is available.

3. Ensure that your sewer project is in compliance with Hendricks County's design standards

   • Use our Standard Design Specifications to complete your designs.
   • Fill out the necessary Plan Review Application.
   • Submit your project electronically to American Structurepoint(District's staff engineers).
