Background Information:
Hendricks County is proud to announce that we have opted into Indiana's public health initiative, Health First Indiana.
Health First Indiana provides funding to increase the capacity of public health by the collaboration of state and local health departments and their community partners. With the support of the Hendricks County Health Board, County Commissioners, and County Council, our Health Department began receiving funding in 2024 to address the health needs of our community and implement evidence-based programs focused on prevention.
The goal of Health First Indiana is to ensure that every Hoosier has access to the core public health services that allows them to achieve their optimal health and well-being. Good health is the foundation of our ability to thrive, from schools to the economy.
